The death of Cammie King Conlon has taken the surviving cast of Gone with the Wind down to one remaining person. Cammie played Rhett and Scarlett’s little girl, Bonnie Blue, who tragically fell from her pony in the film and died. The event was the turning point in the story for Scarlett and Rhett.
The most recent cast member to pass away was one of the Tarleton Twins – Fred Crane – who are seen at the very start of the film in the opening sequence with Scarlett. The other Twin was George Reeves, who later went on to television fame as Superman before committing suicide in the late 1950′s. Fred Crane died in 2008.
Ann Rutherford, who played Scarlett’s younger sister, is still alive at 90 years of age and still active in Hollywood circles.

The sad news that actor Micheal Douglas has been diagnosed with Stage Four throat cancer comes at a time in his life when he has more than enough stress to cope with. By his own admission it has been ‘a very long year’ and revealed what we all know – that cancer feeds on stress and anxiety.
The actor has spent the past year dealing with his son Cameron’s drug problems and court appearances and the latest news has it that his ex-wife, Diandra, is suing him for half his earnings from his latest film where he reprises his iconic 80′s role as Gordon Gekko. Correct me if I am wrong, but when you have been divorced from a man for more than a decade you should have moved on, especially when you already received a sizeable chunk of his fortune. One would think the woman would be well set up financially for the rest of her life but we all know these Hollywood wives – they hang onto their married names (Priscilla Presley is a good example…) because they open doors long after their marriage has bitten the dust and they have bled their ex-spouse for every penny they could get. If this woman pursues the poor man throughout his illness – and she probably will – I hope every door she ever encounters again slams right back in her face.
Micheal Douglas, looking more like his dad Kirk with every passing year, has been happily married for ten years to Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones and is the dad of two young children – let’s hope he can defy the odds, which honestly are not that great, and live to see his kids grow up.

Right, so Big Brother in series form has now ended after eleven series with hefty Bristolian Josie winning the big prize. Now we are being treated to two extra weeks of Ultimate Big Brother whereby former housemates from both BB and CBB spend 14 days back in The BB House to no doubt try and have a second shot at the fame and fortune that eluded them after their first respective appearances on the show. Josie will join them for the next two weeks – well, she has already won 100K so what has she got to lose?
We have transsexual winner Nadia from BB5 in 2004, the now-emaciated Ulrika Jonsson from CBB 2009, Makosi from BB6 in 2005, Rapper Coolio who rubbed everyone up the wrong way in CBB 2009, whining Nikki from BB7 (voted the best BB series ever), infamous Nasty Nick from BB1 in 2000, and the awful bum-scratching, nose-picking chauvinist John McCririck from CBB 2005 – which makes you think that this show could actually have it’s moments…but when I saw that the famously married and then divorced Chantelle Houghton and Preston from CBB 2006 enter the house I had the feeling that something predictable was in the making…get ready OK! magazine for the ‘reunion’ exclusive…?
But you have to feel a little sad that the most famous, successful, and entertaining BB house-mate of all time will not be there in the house tonight, and we know she would have if she could have…Jade.

Jade Goody – she enjoyed the best side of Big Brother…and also suffered from the worst side of it.
