I know I have a very broad cynical streak which runs right through me from head to toe but it has nothing to do with the huge rat I was getting a whiff of as soon as the story broke about actor Gary Coleman’s death. Frankly I do not believe a word that has come out of the mouth of his ugly ex-wife Shannon Price ever since. Ms Price looks like the result of some hideous laboratory experiment that involved the DNA of Nicole Kidman and Molly Ringwald with a bit of Chucky thrown in for good measure…
We know that Gary Coleman is now at peace having lived a life that should have been a lot happier than it was. We know that he sustained a head injury so severe he virtually bled to death on the floor of his home - while his ex-wife, Ms Price also in the home at the time, made a very cool 911 call during which she made it very clear she was not going to go anywhere near him to help despite the urgings of the emergency staff on the line.
Emergency Call Staff: “Do you think you can go down and look at him?”
Shannon Price: “Mmm, I don’t know, I think…there’s a lot of blood…His head is all gross… No I can’t help him, I can’t look at blood…”
This is where I have trouble buying this woman’s side of things; the man she supposedly loved was bleeding to death just a few feet away and yet she was too squamish to go and at least hold a towel to his head until an ambulance arrived. For one thing how does one sustain such a head injury from simply slipping over on the floor, a head injury that resulted in a gaping open wound that bled so badly…? a head wound very similar to one inflicted by a blunt instrument…
The guy arrives home, goes upstairs and is asked by the ex-wife to go down to the kitchen and fix her something to eat, he goes off downstairs…then bang - he is on the floor with a serious head injury. She calls 911 but refuses to go anywhere near him claiming she cannot stand the sight of blood. 48 hours later she turns off his life support the second the doctors express doubt about his recovery. Didn’t waste any time did she? Since his death she has hit the celebrity trail and is earning serious money out of being the grieving ex-wife; appearing on talk shows that previously would never have touched this vile looking woman with a barge pole, she has even stooped to the lowest level of all and has sold the photographs she took of Coleman on his deathbed to an undisclosed tabloid publication. Gary Coleman always despised the tabloids.
Having watched one of the recent videos of her being interviewed about the incident I have to say I am dismayed about one thing she said; she claimed the decision to turn off Gary’s life support was the most difficult decision she ever made - more difficult then than deciding heroically to overcome her ‘fear of blood’ to go and assist him as soon as he fell and lay bleeding on the floor of their home…turning off that machine should have been the easier decision to make, putting aside her own supposed ‘fear’ at his time of need should have been the real test of courage for her instead of throwing a towel at the poor injured man lying on the floor. I don’t believe a word she says, I don’t believe he accidentally fell - I believe he was ambushed, he walked into a well-planned trap and it worked.
