Well I for one will miss seeing them on the show anyway – they were fun, enthusiastic, dreadful singers and hopeless at any semblance of choreography but they grew on me and it is very clear the public had warmed to John and Edward over the past few weeks.

They sure took a lot of stick which must have gotten to them at times, after all , they are just kids and no doubt love what they do and want to be accepted for it. But they are different, refreshingly so, and played the game for what it is – entertainment.

If the X Factor is to be a deadly serious singing competition then the judges need to get it straight right from the start. In my opinion the show is about finding someone with the X factor and you don’t need to have a great voice in order to be watchable and popular…which is what Jedward were about.

My pick to win the show has to be Joe McElderry – a good looking young guy with a fantastic and versatile voice. He has not received anywhere near the amount of publicity that the other contestants have received but that can work to his advantage – his talent can shine through and stand for itself.
